"A Black Belt is just a white belt that never gave up." - Author Unknown

Brown or Black Belt testing is one of the most challenging yet amazing things that a karateke can ever do. It is not easy and sometimes people not only don't pass a test, but they also don't even complete a test. The test is designed to challenge the students physically, mentally, and spiritually. For that reason it pushes the student to their limit and beyond.

Here is the all the information that you need to know.

Brown and Black Belt Grading is held in a formal format. It observes the Okinawan Etiquette that is expected at all formal gradings, regardless of panel members or location. The following information is to help you prepare for the exam.

When it is all over: There will be a break while all participants and spectators will be asked to let the panel deliberate. This may be anywhere from 15 minutes to many hours depending on circumstances that happen during grading. The panel will inform the participants of a timeframe at the completion of the exam as to when they will announce the results.
